We purchased our home in September of 2008. But the interesting part of the story happened way before we signed on the dotted line.
This apartment has been in Will’s family for over 25 years. His parents lived here when Will was a baby (and the apartment was a rental), and then his aunt took over their lease, eventually bought the apartment when the joint when co-op, and then sold it to us before building her dream home in Vermont.
Our home is a work in progress. When we first moved in, we tore out the wall the wall carpeting throughout the apartment and were blessed to find that we had hardwoods in good condition underneath! Otherwise, we painted, but now as time goes on I find myself rethinking a lot of our initial color and decor choices. I know this happens to a lot of people, especially since it’s very hard to establish a complete decor personality immediately!
